The seeds of Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Studio were planted in 2019, with the participation and collaboration of the following groups and individuals:
- The Town of Qualicum Beach: Adam Walker and Anne Skipsey, councillors.
- Qualicum Community Education and Wellness Society (QCEWS)
- The Early Learning and Childcare Council for Oceanside (ELCCO)
- Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Society (ITWELCCS)
- Peter Turje, Architect AIBC
- Robert Degros Landscape Ltd
- MKM Contractors
Funding for this project was provided by:
- BC Provincial Community Child Care Space Creation Program Grant
- New Space Creation Grant Funding
- Town of Qualicum Beach
Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Society, with the support of ELCCO, worked to ensure the project perspective remained focused on the needs of children and early childhood educators who would use the space. Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Society became the official Operator of the Into The Woods Early Learning Child Care Studio in February 2023.
