Welcome to Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Studio!
We are a non-profit, charitable organization (#761724467RR0001) dedicated to providing a high quality emergent, nature focused and play based Early Learning Program. In February 2023, the Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Society (ITWELCCS) officially became the Operator of the Studio for the Town of Qualicum Beach. The Studio is managed by an elected Voluntary Board of Directors, which includes parents, community members, and staff.
Surrounded by forests and trails in picturesque Qualicum Beach, Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Studio is immersed in a natural setting. Our Early Childhood Educators guide children’s connection to local community and environments as a starting point for their learning. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on, real-world learning experiences that strengthen children’s connection with the natural world, fostering environmental stewardship from an early age.
The Studio is licensed for 37 children (12 Infant/ Toddlers and 25 Early Learning Spaces).
We respectfully acknowledge that Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Studio is located on the unceded territory of the Qualicum First Nation, the traditional keepers of this land. We are grateful to have the privilege to live, learn and play on their lands.
